Swimming Lessons

From first splash to competitive racing.

Ages 3 and Up

We start teaching children from age 3. The earlier they start, the more natural swimming becomes. No upper age limit, it is never too late to learn.

Lesson Structure

Lessons are structured to progress from water confidence and basic skills through to all four competitive strokes. Each child moves at their own pace.

Competitive Pathway

For children who want to compete, Lorna prepares swimmers for galas through the Matabeleland Amateur Swimming Board and local swimming clubs.

Health Benefits

Swimming is excellent for children with asthma and respiratory conditions. It builds core strength, cardiovascular fitness, and coordination.

What to Expect in the First Lesson

  • A warm welcome from Lorna in a friendly, safe environment
  • Assessment of your child's current water confidence
  • Introduction to basic water skills at an appropriate level
  • Small class size ensures personal attention
  • Parents are welcome to watch from poolside
  • Bring a towel, swimsuit, goggles, and a smile
